Spiral groove
On needles with a spiral groove, the long grooves do not run straight along the needle blade, but in a spiral or helical shape. They are used in inline chainstitch machines where the hook or looper moves along the sewing direction and the thread is guided from the front of the machine to the needle. As threading is carried out laterally from right to left, the thread runs diagonally over the needle blade. Therefore, the spiral groove has the advantage that the thread can lie in the spiral groove during needle penetration.
Normal round point with small ball
Quality choice is the standard version of the selected needle system. The needle does not have any special geometry, properties or coating. The needle meets all general requirements and is characterized by a very good price-performance ratio.
