SAN™ 1 for embroidering products made from sturdy materials
The SAN™ 1 version of needle DBxK5 is particularly suitable for embroidering products made of sturdy materials such as baseball caps or leather. The reinforced blade increases the stability of the needle and the special geometries of the scarf and eye improve the pick-up of the loop. In addition, the larger eye simplifies threading and allows the embroidery thread to slide through unhindered. The GEBEDUR™ coating increases the wear protection of the needle, especially in the point and eye area.
Shank notch
A shank notch is a recess in the shank that serves to precisely align the needle with the hook or looper. It also prevents the needle from being pulled out of the needle bar during the backward stroke. There are needles with one and needles with two shank notches.
