MR needle for multidirectional sewing applications
The MR needle is used for multidirectional sewing applications such as pocket setting. Due to its special blade geometry, it has a high deflection resistance, which is an advantage in multidirectional sewing. The long and deep scarf allows the hook or looper to be positioned extremely close to the needle, ensuring a high level of safety when picking up loops. In addition, the specially shaped thread gliding area reduces the unraveling of the sewing thread, especially when changing the sewing direction.
Spiral groove
On needles with a spiral groove, the long grooves do not run straight along the needle blade, but in a spiral or helical shape. They are used in inline chainstitch machines where the hook or looper moves along the sewing direction and the thread is guided from the front of the machine to the needle. As threading is carried out laterally from right to left, the thread runs diagonally over the needle blade. Therefore, the spiral groove has the advantage that the thread can lie in the spiral groove during needle penetration.
